What is the Promotional Gift Award?
Since 6 years, the WA Publishing in Cologne, Germany, annually arranged an international competition of novel promotion, called the Promotional Gift Award. Relaunched in 2008 with among other things a new logo, this prize is now a unique and established distinction of the industry.
The jury of this initiative has the purpose to find the best companies concerning their know-how to promote their products in an innovative, even pioneering and unique way. That’s the reason why the Promotional Gift Award 2009 is once again under the motto “Create the difference”.
Why an award for good promotion and communication ideas?
In times where there is an oversupply of products, the promotion, marketing and communication aspects play a more and more important role. You need to be unique for being successful. You have to attract the attention of the consumer for enticing him to buy YOUR product.
The aim of the Promotional Gift Award is to encourage everybody to “create the difference” with their innovation in the field of promotion. The following citation underlines once more why good and appropriated marketing campaigns are indispensable nowadays:
“Promotional products have an exceptional advantage under such market conditions due to their representational attributes.”
The criteria and the jury
During a non public selection procedure, a competent jury, consisted of five jurors, decides via several criteria the winners of the award.
Not only is the submitted product information sheet important for the evaluation of the products. Different criteria such as design, additional functions, packaging or attractiveness flow into the analysis.
And the winners of 2008 are …
Just for giving you an overall impression of the innovative dimensions of the award, you can see on the picture one of the winners of the last year. It is an organic t-shirt, packed as a tomato, of the category “communicative product”. `
The winners of this year will be presented and honored at the Promotional World in Hanover in April 2009.
Isn’t it just fascinating what you could create with a little bit imagination?
